Electrical and Computer Engineering Professor Susan Hagness created the course Introduction to Society’s Grand Challenges to show students the impact engineers can make on the world’s future.
“Several years ago, the National Academy of Engineering identified 14 Grand Challenges for the coming decade. It’s important for us to introduce students to these responsibilities and opportunities as soon as possible so that they can be inspired by these challenges.”
